Sir Mix-a-Lot, the rapper behind the booty anthem turned pop culture "Baby Got Back," is getting into the NFT scene. Ahead of the 30th anniversary of his 1992 hit, the rapper partnered with developer META-X Studios for the "Bit Butts" NFT collection.

Sir Mix-a-Lot Drops Bigg Butts NFT Collection

The collection features hand-sketched, hand-colored and hand-assembled 6,666 unique NFTs of derrières by animation artists. Sir Mix-A-Lot also designed some of the rarest pieces in the collection. The cheeky NFT project with a purpose will raise money to support colorectal cancer research and education. A share of each sale will be donated to the nonprofit Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

Blue is the official color of colorectal awareness and prevention. So out of the total supply, only 50 would be color blue to signify rarity. According to the team, lucky NFT holders of blue butt NFTs will receive "ultra-mega rare custom butts."

"We chose Bit Butts as our debut launch because we all need a good laugh right now for a good cause," META-X Studios CEO Joe Sichta shared. "We're out to de-stigmatize colorectal cancer with a bit of ridiculous fun."

The NFTs will go live on May 9, so join the Discord channel to catch exclusive updates.
