Born Again Art Limited and the Born for Art Foundation are thrilled to announce The Charles Salvador 'Bronson' NFT Collection launch on January 29th, 2023. The collection is the result of a collaboration between Charles Salvador, Born Again Art, Crypto Correct, and Henarch Galleries, London.
The Charles Salvador 'Bronson' NFT Collection features 2,000 rare and unseen pieces of Charlie's art, along with 8,000 singular 3D pieces that include a combination of poems, interviews, and personal writing from his 47 years of solitary confinement. The collection will be available for purchase on https://www.charlessalvadorbronson.com/ and will be exhibited on OpenSea, the leading marketplace for NFTs.
Charlie, previously known as ‘Charles Bronson’, has gained recognition as an outsider artist with his paintings and illustrations of prison and psychiatric hospital life. His art has been exhibited and has won him multiple awards, including 11 Koestler Trust awards for his art and poetry. Actor Tom Hardy has also portrayed Charlie in the film "Bronson," based on Bronson's life.
Charlie began creating art in 1994 when prison officer Mick O'Hagan encouraged him to take up the hobby. Since then, he has dedicated himself to producing thousands of paintings, doodles, caricatures, and other works for charitable foundations and global exhibitions. His art depicts his daily life in prison and the violence, brutality, and madness he has witnessed and experienced in the prison system throughout his life.
Some say that Charlie's artwork reveals the dark corners of a disturbed mind, while others argue that it reflects the events and deep emotions Charlie has witnessed and lived. Whatever your interpretation, there is no denying Charlie's art's raw, expressive power, described by art critics as "coming straight from the soul."
"I am going to do my art and create masterpieces until my heart stops beating," said Charlie. "I want to be one of the greatest artists. I am an artist, a man of peace." - CS
The Charles Salvador 'Bronson' NFT Collection offers a unique opportunity to own a piece of Charlie’s creative genius. Each Digital Collectible is an authentic, verified, one-of-a-kind part of art history.
In addition to the art collection, 25% of all funds raised through the sale of the NFTs will go towards the Born for Art Foundation. This charitable organization provides art supplies, equipment, and resources to young people in need across the United Kingdom. Using NFT technology as a donation platform for charitable auctions allows for a decentralized and online event with less overhead and the ability to reach a wider audience. It also provides a transparent history of funds raised to ensure they are used effectively to support the organization's mission.
